Allan Dean Charek of Stow, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 at the age of 68 after a brief battle with cancer. Born on April 2, 1957 to Mildred and Arthur Charek, Allan lived a full and remarkable life. A devout Jehovah’s Witness, he touched the lives of everyone he met through his kindness and sense of humor. He is remembered for his culinary talents, his love of fishing, gardening, Science Fiction, and wine. He loved travelling and attending concerts, but his favorite place was sharing a meal in the garden that he shared with friends or on the water in his fishing boat. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Noreen Evans. He is survived by his wife, Cheri (Ostrica) Charek, sister Irene Mako, brothers Arthur Charek, Jr. and Russell Charek, son Christopher Charek, daughter Brittany (Mathias) Charek, and grandchildren Gwenyth Hall, Raina Hall, Illiyana Charek, Holden Charek-Cubbal, Rozelyn Kail, and Ewan Noble.
Memorial Arrangements are scheduled for Sunday, February 15th. Calling hours begin at 4pm followed by a talk at 5:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 4092 Darrow Road in Stow. Service available via Zoom at 5pm Use Meeting ID: 923 838 7031 and Passcode: 905474
