It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mandy McElroy on September 1, 2026 at the age of 50. Mandy was born and raised in Akron, Ohio but lived a life marked by the love of travel. Mandy's compassion for all, her love of animals, her strength, her deep devotion to faith and family is what most will remember her for. Plus, that Smile!

After being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer in 2021, Mandy fought with unwavering courage and grace until her final day.

Preceded in death by her mother and best friend Patritia Litten, Mandy is survived by lifelong friend and husband of 12 years Jerad McElroy.

Mandy is, and will always be, the proud and loving mother of Anthony Lambert as well as a stepmother to Chase, Bryan and Allisa McElroy.

Mandy also leaves behind her loving Father Arthur Litten, stepmother Cindy, Sister Sheri Litten (Kevin) and many nephews, cousins and other family members.

Mandy spent 30 plus dedicated years working for Akron General Hospital, where she made many friends and was known for her work ethic, kindness, and commitment to others.

Per Mandy's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
