Anita Lostetter, 76, passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Anita spent most of her life in her hometown, with a memorable four-year chapter in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Anita is survived by her beloved husband of 58½ years, William Lostetter; her children, Allen Lostetter and Amy (Steve) Fakult; and her treasured grandchildren, Nicholas Lostetter, Alexander Lostetter, Daniel (Supriena) Lostetter, Steven Fakult, and Rebekah Fakult. She also leaves behind her great-granddaughter, Avery Lostetter; her brother, John Shambach; and her sisters, Loraine Robinson and Karen Dewitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Marian Shambach; her brother, Ronald Shambach; and her sister, Anna Scaffidi.
Anita dedicated 30 years of service to The University of Akron, where she was known for her dedication and warmth. She found great joy in gardening, painting, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, and traveling-especially to the beach and Las Vegas.
In accordance with Anita's wishes, there will be no viewing or calling hours. She will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
