Anita E. Smith

Anita E. Smith, age 68, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025,

surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 23, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, to David and Gussie Holloway. Anita dedicated

over 35 years of service to the Warrensville Developmental Center.

Anita’s greatest joy came from spending time with her children and many grandchildren. She was a

proud and devoted mother and grandmother, always there to cheer them on and support their many

activities She was their biggest fan in every way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Gussie Holloway, and her son, Joseph

Holloway.

Anita is survived by her twin children, Michelle and Michael Holloway (Elmira Vaughn). She also

leaves to cherish her memory her beloved grandchildren: Jade Holloway, Samone White, Jordan

Holloway, twins Joslyn and Johnny Holloway, Michael Holloway Jr., and Nichole Holloway, along with

a host of other grandchildren, friends, and family members. Her memory will forever be cherished by

all who knew and loved her.
