Arthur James “Art” Hancock, 75, was lifted up on eagles wings into the presence of the Lord on April 18, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. In God’s amazing grace, Art was welcomed home.
He will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a faithful husband, and a loving father and Pap. A true jack of all trades, he was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
He loved working outdoors and enjoyed puzzles and games of all kinds. Art’s faith was evident in the way he lived his life, trusting completely in God’s plan. Even throughout his cancer journey, he remained a powerful witness to all he encountered. All while living four years beyond his prognosis with unwavering faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and George Hancock, and his son-in-law, Thomas Jeffries.
Art’s legacy lives on through his wife and love of his life for over 50 years, Debbe Plummer Hancock; his two devoted children, Barbara Jeffries and Daniel (Ashley) Hancock; and his five cherished grandchildren, who were the joy of his life and whom he loved dearly.
