Bernard Charles Hone, affectionately known by family and friends as "Beeb," passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 83.
Born on July 4, 1942, Beeb lived a life defined by love, laughter, family, and friendship. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elaine, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Their relationship was a testament to commitment, loyalty, and enduring love, inspiring their family and all who knew them.
Beeb was also a dedicated truck driver for many years, a career he loved and took great pride in. He will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Beeb's greatest accomplishment was the family he and Elaine built together. Through more than six decades of marriage, they created a legacy of love that continues through their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless lives they touched along the way.
He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Hone.He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Hone; his daughter Kim Kozer and her husband Bob, and their daughters Aubrey and Ashley Kozer; his son Neil Hone; and his son Brad Hone and Kristie Willimack, along with Brad's children, Bradley Hone and his wife Maddie, Haylee Hone, and Kaitlin Hone. He is also survived by Kristie's children, Cole Mason, Kaden Walker, and Phoenix Walker.
He is also survived by the family of his late son, Todd Hone, including grandson Todd and his wife Ashley (Adair) Hone and her daughters Sophie, Lillie, Addie, and Gracie; grandson Matthew Hone and his partner, Grier Cowles; and granddaughter Lindsay Clark (Hone), her husband Patrick Clark, and their children Brailyn and Charlee.
To know Beeb was to love him. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. He was truly the life of the party, known for his infectious laugh, quick wit, playful sense of humor, and endless storytelling. Whether gathered around a holiday table, attending a family event, or simply sharing a conversation with friends, Beeb had a way of bringing people together and filling every room with joy.
One of the many things family and friends will always remember about Beeb was his legendary sense of humor.
His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created, the lessons he taught, the laughter he inspired, and the family he loved so deeply. While his absence leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew him, his spirit will remain present in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every family gathering for generations to come.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time.Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Beeb is reunited with his beloved son, Todd. We can only imagine the laughter, stories, and joy of that reunion. Until we meet again, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
