Betty Fullen

Betty Jean Fullen (86) passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, March 24th, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

Betty was born on September 15th, 1937, in Clover Lick, West Virginia to Stella & Norman McCloud. In the spring of 1950 Betty moved to Akron, Ohio and she remained here her whole life, though she always longed to go back to West Virginia. Betty started her family here in Akron and she was a devoted mother to her children: Sherry Fullen, Richard “Ricky” Fullen (wife Marry), Anthony “Tony” Fullen, Lynette Slack (husband David), Kaylene Howard and Kevin Fullen.

Betty had a passion for gardening, and she was awarded for having the most beautiful yard in Akron. Betty’s favorite bird was the red cardinal and she loved to put food out on her windowsill for the birds and squirrels to eat.

Betty was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry and son Kevin. She is survived by 4 of her children (Ricky, Tony, Lynette, Kaylene) and by her 12 grandchildren (Nicole, Ricky jr., Marick, Brittany, Phillip, Tyler, Gabrielle, Gage, Heaven, Hailee, Skylar, Jacob) and many great grandchildren.
