Our beloved mother Bonnie R. (Young) Heath passed away peacefully in her home on Sept. 25, 2025.
Bonnie was born in Columbia S.C. to Jack and Bonciel Reynolds on Oct 28, 1940. She is survived by her older sister Joan Schroeder and younger brother Charles Reynolds(Jean). She was preceded in death by brothers Melton Reynolds and Jackie Reynolds. Bonnie enjoyed telling stories of her childhood and family. She longed to revisit Paris, France remembering the areas where her family lived when her father was militarily deployed in the 1950's. Bonnie enjoyed laughing, eating at restaurants, dancing and visiting zoos. She could never stand the sight of snakes, recalling how her brother Jackie would chase her around as a child while dangling a snake from a stick. All in fun for sure.
Bonnie married her high school love James E. Young in 1958. Becoming a loving and devoted mother to three children. James Young Jr., Tina Clark (Wayne), and Susan Farmer (Michael).The family lived a grateful and hard working life. Bonnie and James both worked outside the home. They taught their children how to cook, clean, simple mechanics, the beauty of bird watching and gardening. James passed away in June of 1997. Bonnie's loving family allowed her to become a Grandmother to 8, Great Grandmother to 8, and Great Great grandmother to one.
Bonnie was married to Edwin Heath in Sept. 2000. Her family increased to become a cherished part of his family of 3 children. Michelle Heath, Danny Heath, and Michael Heath (Stephanie).They enjoyed many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Bonnie and Ed lived on his family farm in Clover VA for 20 years. There they enjoyed a quiet country life, attending church, going "to town" and planting and harvesting their vegetable garden.
Ed passed away in Sept. 2020. Bonnie then moved to Ohio to live with Sue and Tina. Her faith drew her to Twin Falls Methodist Church where she became a member and was immediately received and loved. She enjoyed spending time with the "Tea Ladies" at their Bi-Weekly luncheons. She was generous with her time and eager to volunteer for activities such as garage sales and craft shows.
Bonnie was a life member of the VFW Aux Post 4738 in Stow. She volunteered as often as possible and was grateful for their charitable outreach. Wednesday's became her favorite day. After enjoying lunch with her girls she set her course to say the magic word...
B I N G O !!! Learning the game later in life, it provided an opportunity for her to socialize and it is here that she met her most cherished friends.
A Memorial service will be held at Twin Falls Methodist Church in Stow OH on Oct 5th at 2pm. The family will receive guests at 1:30 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be Oct 5th at VFW Post 4738, 3733 Fishcreek Rd Stow. The family will welcome guests from 5-7pm.
Bonnie will be interned in Hampton, Virginia. The family will receive guests at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Oct 11th from 11am-1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Twin Falls Methodist Church on Bonnie's behalf.
