ON MY SONS
Great joys have I known with my sons through the y They've uplifted my heart midst life's toil and tears
Dear Lord, You alone know how I asked for each As they grew they were often the ones to teach.
Manifold blessings have they given to me
How I love them and treasure each memory
The wisdom and insight revealed in the young Are often neglected and remain unsung.
I pray Thy loving Hand upon them each day For protection and guidance along life's way
Lord, grant my prayer I might humbly grow to be Deserving of the love my sons give to me.
