New Franklin

Brenda C. Endicott, New Franklin, Ohio.

It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda C. Endicott announces her peaceful passing on July 21, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 26, 1949, in Fayetteville Rural, West Virginia, Brenda was the youngest of five children. From an early age, she found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life—running through the hills of West Virginia with her brothers, feeling the sun on her face, and breathing in the fresh country air.

Brenda later moved to the Akron area, where she met and married her "hero," Gordon Endicott, with whom she shared a life full of adventures and love. After graduating from Buchtel High School, Brenda had a long and successful career in management with Ohio Bell, which later became AT&T, from which she retired in 2003.

Brenda is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Gordon; her parents, James and Zelma Lee; and her four brothers; Jerry, Larry, Thomas, and Roger. Brenda is deeply missed and forever loved by her daughter, Alissa, and her cherished grandchildren, Olivia and Jakob. Brenda will also be fondly remembered by extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins; and life-long friends.

A woman of great compassion, Brenda had a soft heart for animals, especially those in need. She found peace in nature—whether it was watching the delicate dance of butterflies or enjoying the playful antics of a squirrel lounging on her deck rail. One of her last ambitions was to revisit the tranquil beauty of the ocean at Carolina Beach, a dream she was able to fulfill last year with the love and support of her family and a CB local and special friend, Heather.

Brenda’s life was a testament to quiet strength, love, and grace. She faced life’s challenges with dignity and endured with a heart full of hope. Her family fondly remembers her as a “spicy miracle,” a source of joy and inspiration to all who knew her.

A celebration of life picnic in honor of Brenda will be held on August 10, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. at Lake Dorothy Park, 3688 Dorothy Avenue, Norton, Ohio 44203. All family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life and legacy.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated doctors and nurses at Hearthstone Family Practice for their compassionate care. A special thank-you also goes out to Roberta, Brenda’s caregiver turned dear friend, for her kindness, unwavering support, and companionship.
