Brian Michael Cavinee, 47, of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his parents’ home in Norton on November 16, 2025. Born on August 19, 1978, in Zanesville, Ohio, Brian brought humor, kindness, and a generous spirit to everyone around him. A graduate of Rittman High School, Brian worked in security and towing, and he had recently begun pursuing his dream of starting his own towing company. He took pride in helping others and enjoyed work that allowed him to serve his community.
Brian cherished the outdoors and had a deep love for animals—especially horses, dogs, and wildlife of all kinds. He enjoyed fishing, gardening (with a special talent for growing roses and giant sunflowers), target practice, and spending time in nature. He was also a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved cheering on the Wadsworth Grizzlies on Friday nights. He had a strong interest in law enforcement, whether it was listening to scanners, receiving accident alerts, or watching related programs on TV.
One of Brian’s greatest joys in life was being a dad and papal. He deeply loved his sons and grandson and was proud of them every day. Above all, Brian loved his family and found joy in making people laugh with his silly, playful personality. His warmth and kindness will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
Brian is survived by his parents, Mark and Diana Cavinee; sisters Cindy Orley and Michelle Rouzzo; sons Andrew and Matthew Cavinee; grandson Elijah Cavinee, and his nieces and nephews — Calvin and Malia Orley and Grace, Darren, and Ethan Rouzzo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents JP and Helen Cavinee and Alfred and Louella Mears.
Brian’s legacy lives on through his family, friends, and all those touched by his humor and caring nature. He will be deeply missed.
