Carlo Romeo

April 11, 1962 — November 14, 2025

Akron

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of my beloved brother, Carlo Romeo , 63 of Akron, Ohio on November 14,2025 . Born on April 11, 1962, Lorain, Ohio , Carlo was not only a brother but a friend and confidant. Growing up, we shared countless adventures, from playing, getting into trouble doing pranks, cooking, trips, moves to Florida. Carlo had an infectious laugh and a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. Preceded in death by his loving parents Angeline Romeo and Dominic Romeo, grandparents Angelo and Cecilia Fabrizio, Carlo and Maria Romeo. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by daughter Nicole, siblings Ellen, Angelo, Dominic, and nephew Jonathan, Best friend Sheree Duprat, many good friends and extended family in Lorain, Ohio.

Carlo was known for his talent and passion in the kitchen, working as a chef for most of his life. He took great pride in preparing delicious meals that brought people together. His attention to flavor, detail and presentations made every dish memorable.

He loved sharing food with family and friends. It was his way of showing his love and compassion for others.

Outside of the kitchen, Carlo found joy and fulfillment in landscaping and gardening. With a sharp eye and green thumb, he could transform any space into something beautiful. He took great pride in taking care of his home that meant the world to him.

Nicole- So many things to say about my father, but my thoughts are overcome with grief.

My dad was someone who lived and retold his stories well. He was an “all in” man who loved with his whole heart; shown by his many beloved pets, through his generosity of food, or with a sarcastic smile.

He was strong willed, inventive, intuitive, and always had good advice at the ready. We all had so much more to have learned from you.

My most beloved memories center around the kitchen or dining table where our love and laughter were shared, music always in the background.

“I wish we had more time, and you will be missed” - don’t scratch the surface.

Peaceful resting. Forever in my heart.

Please take a moment and honor my father by recounting your own tale, favorite song, joke, or savoring the memory of a best recipe.

Ellen- I will cherish the times I spent every day with Carlo. He was such a force of nature, he loved with his whole heart and soul. His love of animals was evident with the care and love he gave to his loyal companions, dogs; Wolfie and Dolly and cat ,Buddy, now they are all together again. He leaves behind his little stray cat "Honey". His love of holidays was an inspiration; he loved decorating and planning the menu for the family get togethers. His love of music filled the house and patio. Carlo's passing has left us heartbroken, the memories that we have of all the happy times will be in our hearts forever. I will miss you always.

Carlo will be forever remembered and missed by his sister, brothers, extended family, and many friends.

**Celebration of life get together will be given by his family at a later date. **
