Catherine Jeannette Dennis

Catherine (Cassie Sloan) Jeannette Dennis passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023 just shy of her 91st birthday.

Cassie was born in Cleveland Ohio on January 31, 1933 to Thomas and Margaret (Harris) Sloan.

She was a graduate of Alliance High School.  

Cassie always said her greatest love and joy was raising her three children with Don Miller in Alliance Ohio.  After her kids were raised, she fulfilled a dream of using her talent and worked as a graphic artist at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.  Years later she moved closer to her loving daughter in Akron Ohio when her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.  

She is survived by her children Douglas (Ning) Miller, David Miller and Darla Brown; grandchildren Matt Brown, Cassie Brown, Jenna (Trevor) Winston and Seth (Thais) Miller; great-grand children, Landon, Parker, Norris, August, Maeve and Freya.

A special thank you to Pebble Creek Senior Nursing Home and all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff for the excellent care they showed Cassie over the years.  Also thank you to Elara Caring in during her last four weeks.    

Per Cassie’s request, there will be no services. Cremation as taken place at Adam Mason Funeral Home.
