Charles Ruffin Jr.

Charles Ruffin Jr., born of the late Charles and Ernestine Ruffin, aged 72, formerly of 630 Crosby Street, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio, on March 29, 1954, Charles was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend who brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Charmaine Ruffin and Charlena Ruffin, and his cherished grandchildren, Desmond Ruffin, Tyshawn Ruffin, Tyveil Senior, and Tyrah Senior.

He also leaves behind his devoted brothers, David (Marilyn), Chris (Ginger), Arthur (Tracey), and Nathaniel (Tia) Ruffin; his sisters, Gloria (Robert) Ford, Mary (David) Cross, Susie Ruffin (Reed Witherspoon), Roberta Starks, and Jeanette Ruffin, all of Akron Ohio, and Charlene Thompson of San Jose California; as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A celebration of Charles's life will take place Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, located at 180 Edward Ave Akron, OH 44310. Officiant Pastor Robert J. Evans, Eulogist: Pastor Arthur Ruffin. Calling hours begin at 11:00 a.m.
