Dale Greene

April 2, 1948 — February 8, 2026

Cuyahoga Falls

Dale “Skip” Greene, 77, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away peacefully at his home February 8, 2026. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Valerie Anne (Jacobs) Greene; he is survived by his son, Todd Greene; daughter Courtney (Ben) Yannayon; along with many close friends and family.

Dale was a Randolph High School graduate class of 1966 and was drafted into the U.S. Army in March of 1968. After completing initial Army training along with the Infantry Noncommissioned Officer Candidate Course, he was sent to Vietnam and was assigned to B Company, 123rd Aviation Battalion (known as “The Warlords”) as an infantry squad leader. After participating in numerous missions over five months, Dale was wounded when a Kit Carson Scout opened a booby trapped ammunition box near his position in August of 1969. Dale was released from active duty and was later honorably discharged. After his military service, Dale began a career as a cement mason. He was the foreman for Savoia Construction and retired after 31 years.

Dale never knew a stranger, had a great sense of humor, and a colorful use of the English language. He loved animals, the outdoors, golfing, and sharing a laugh with friends and family. Per his wishes, there will be no services. To honor Skip, we ask that you try to make the world a little bit better than you found it. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
