Darrin W, Bostick, 65, passed away March 18, 2023. He was born on September 28, 1957 in Palo Alto, California to Kathrine (Hughes) and Norman G Bostick.
Darrin was the youngest in a family of 4. He married Deedra Humiston on July 17, 1992, and they were married for 30 years.
Darrin was a Navy veteran, serving almost 22 years. He enlisted at the age of 33 and retired as an Aviation Electronics Senior Chief (AECS). Darrin has received many medals/awards while serving but some of his most prestigious being two Navy Commendation medals; one Afghanistan Campaign medal (2007) and one Iraq Campaign medal (2009). He has also received 8 Navy Achievement medals, the Navy Expeditionary medal, the National Defense Service medal, 2 Armed Forces Expeditionary medals, the Southwest Asia Service medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service medal. In addition to being a proud patriot he was also a very caring son, husband, brother and uncle. One of Darrins favorite activities was walking and taking care of his beloved dogs. He was active in supporting rescue and service dogs for veterans. Darrin was an avid guitarist with a passion for camping and fishing.
Darrin is survived by his wife Deedra; brother Brian, sister Janis (David) Mills; nephew Benjamin Mills; nieces Regina (Richard) McCullough, Jennifer (Chris) Malick; grand nephews Dalton and Colton Malick.
Darrin will have a committal service with military honors on Wednesday, April 5th at 1:30pm. The service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
