David Wayne Elliott

October 21, 1950 — February 6, 2026

Bergholz

David (Dave) W. Elliott, 75, of Bergholz, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, surrounded by his son after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Cisero Elliott and Stella Mae Staten-Elliott; his sister, Mary Elliott-Petty; and his brothers, Wilbur Elliott, John Elliott, and Earl Elliott.

David is survived by his two sons, Travis Elliott of Akron, Ohio, and David W. Elliott Jr. of Statesville, North Carolina, and his granddaughter Allyssa Elliott of Trinity, N.C. his sister, Beverly (Robert) Elliott-Clancey; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

David spent his working years as a coal miner and later with Jefferson County Road Repair, never afraid of hard work and always providing for his family. Outside of work, he found peace in the outdoors—early mornings fishing, long days in the woods, and stories about the one that got away. Hunting wasn’t just a hobby to him; it was where he felt most at home, always watching for the next big buck.

To those who knew him best, David was steady, stubborn in the best way, and deeply loyal. He showed his love through actions more than words, and his presence will be missed in ways that are hard to put into language.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the family.

The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at AlterCare of Cuyahoga Falls and the compassionate caregivers of Ohio Living Hospice. Their care, kindness, and respect gave David comfort and dignity in his final days and brought peace to his family during an incredibly difficult time. Their compassion will never be forgotten.

Adams Mason Funeral Home was entrusted with his care.  330-535-9186
