David H. Haenftling

David H. Haenftling, 70, passed away November 5, 2022.  He was born November 11, 1951, in Akron, the son of the late Henry and Ethel Haenftling.  In his early years, David raced at the Barberton Speedway.  He loved watching pro wrestling and car shows.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Kevin, and his infant daughter Beth.  David is survived by his children Chrissy (Art) Simms, David “Vito” Haenftling Jr., Carol Carter, Douglas “Porky” Haenftling, Donald Haenftling, nine grandchildren; siblings Sandy Jundzilo, Teri (Rich) Wilson, Steve (Sherry) Haenftling, Cindy (James) Gibson, Michael Haenftling, Jeff (Carrie) Haenftling, Carolyn Haenftling; and stepmother Gloria Haenftling.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Thursday November 10, 2022 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street).  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace House at gracehouseakron.org and/or the American Diabetes Association at Diabetes.org
