David Paul Melchioris

David Paul Melchioris passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for 32 years. He was born on November 9, 1955 to the late Joseph and Anna Melchioris in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was raised in Adena, Ohio as the youngest of seven children. He graduated from the University of Akron and Wright State University, served in the U.S. Air Force, and worked as a tool and dye maker. David loved nature, hiking with his sons, watching classic TV shows, his many pets, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his quiet and caring demeanor, his faithfulness, and witty sense of humor.

David is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Marcella A. Melchioris (Jagiella); his two sons Joseph D. Melchioris and Nicholas D. Melchioris; brothers Joseph Melchioris (Harriet), Andrew Melchioris (Carol Pettit), and Stephen Melchioris (Nancy); sister Julia Heilman (Michael); brother-in-law Robert Stewart; sister-in-law Janet Melchioris; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, friends. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother Michael Melchioris; sister Margaret Stewart; and his sister-in-law Betty Melchioris.

Mass for David will be held at St. John Cantius Church in Cleveland, Ohio (906 College Ave) on September 19, 2026 at 11:00 am with visiting hours starting at 9:30 am. A luncheon will follow immediately after Mass in the church hall.

Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
