Deborah Sue Rhodes

We are saddened to announce that our mother, Deborah Sue Rhodes, has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Deborah passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 23, 2026. She was born June 19, 1952 to the late Dale and Betty Harris, in Akron, OH.

She was a lifelong resident of Akron, Oh. She graduated from Kenmore High School in 1970. She was a devoted member of Hope United Methodist Church in Akron her entire life, where she developed a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

Deborah married Darrell Rhodes in 1973, had 3 children and spent her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked various jobs throughout her life to ensure her children had everything they needed. Her kind heart and sweet nature will be missed by everyone she knew including her 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren whom she loved very deeply and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Darrell; brother Ricky. She is survived by her 3 children, Patrick (Jodee), Michelle (Brad), and Matthew; 10 grandchildren: Mikayla (Brandon), Michael (Nichole), Cheyenne (Devin), Mckendra, Dylan (Rachelle), Peyton (Sydney), Blake (October), Hunter (Madison), Zachary and Skylar (Gavin); 17 great grandchildren and her partner Wally France.
