Diana Marie Kohler

August 23, 1953 — May 15, 2025

Akron

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diana Marie Kohler, on May 15, 2025 at the age of 71.

Diana Marie Kohler (Carpenter), was born in Charleston, West Virginia on August 23, 1953, to William Carpenter (deceased) and Frances Carpenter (Thorne)(deceased). Diane was the oldest of four children, siblings Ricky Carpenter (Kathy), Angela Poncar (Carpenter), Regina McCord (Carpenter), (Kraig).

Diane met her sweetheart, Thomas Kohler in high school and was quickly welcomed into his family by his father, Thomas Kohler (deceased), mother, Helen Kohler (Bauer)(deceased), sisters, Marie Pickel (Kohler), and Barb Weakland (Kohler), (Chuck).Tom and Diane married on June 30th, 1973. They welcomed their first daughter Kimberley Ann Fogle (Kohler) on December 15th, 1979 followed by their second daughter Christina Marie Price (Kohler) on June 21st 1982.

Diane was a loving, supportive wife and a devoted mother. She wore many hats between head room mom, dance costume designer, and stage hand, she was always involved in her daughters’ lives and was proud of their accomplishments.

Diane’s love didn’t just extend to her own children, she loved her son in laws, Shaun Fogle (Kimberley) and Dan Price (Christina) just as much as her daughters. She treated them like her own sons and made sure they felt welcomed and appreciated in her home.

Once Diane and Tom’s four grandchildren were born, her happiness reached a new level. Her grandchildren Cassandra Fogle (18), Mia Price (16), Olivia Fogle (15), and Tyson Price (14) were her heart. Her favorite times were baking and creating crafts with the grandkids along with their fun family trips to Chicago and Mexico.

The loss of Diane is something our family will never get over, however, we will continue to keep her memory alive and always make her proud because she was such an admirable woman that is unforgettable. We shall listen to the wise words of a very smart bear who said,

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” - Winnie the Pooh

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to contribute towards Tom continuing to work in rescuing stray animals as they did together when Diane was with us.
