Donald W. Calderwood, 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away February 5, 2023 at Bath Creek Estates following natural causes. He was born April 22, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and at the age of one was adopted by his late parents Eva-Mae and James Calderwood. The family moved to the Akron area when Donald was three.  On September 15, 1951, he married Gloria A. Bi-asella. Together they shared 69 years of marriage.

Donald was a man of many talents of which he was an accomplished patent draftsman. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber as an expeditor, traveling all over the U.S. He finished his career with Kolbelco-Stewart Boiling Company. He loved to travel and play golf. He was an avid story teller and a history buff on all wars, including the Civil War, WWI and WWII. Don and Gloria retired to Florida where they lived for 15 years.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife Gloria in 2020, and his daughter Debra Ann. He is survived by his son Gary (Christine) Calderwood; daughter Lynn (Steve) Yamokoski; grandchildren Kaitlin (Joe) Turner, Evan-Marie Zimmerman, and Tim Calderwood; great granddaughter Charlotte Fithian; sister-in-law Marietta Lin and Ed Hart; brother-in-law Nick Biasella Jr.; and numerous extended family.

Our family would like to thank the outstanding care by Cardinal Village AL and Bath Creek Estates.

We are forever grateful. Per Don's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a private dinner. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
