Donald Eugene Zentz

Donald E. Zentz passed away on February 18, 2024. He was born in 1933 in Marysville, KS, where he and his family lived until his mid-teens. His family then moved to Cuyahoga Falls, OH At age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for six years. Most of his service was in post WWII Germany. Upon returning to Ohio, he met and married the love of his life, Sharon Caesar. He went to diesel mechanics school to start a career. They moved to Tallmadge, OH and he went to work for Cummins, then Specter Freight until they closed, then Akron Metro Transit Authority, until he retired in 2003. 

He was a kind, caring, gentle, and affable man. Anyone who knew him, loved him. 

He was proceeded in death by his wife Sharon (Caesar), sister Marilyn (Ekstrum), cousin Bud Young, his son-in-law Bryan Mobley, and many others. He is survived by his daughters Cindy (Mobley) and Kelly, his son Chris, his grandson Alex Mobley , and many others. 

Per his wishes his remains will be cremated, there will be no service.
