Donna Cunningham

Donna S. Cunningham, 70 years old, of Barberton, OH, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Monday, November 14 after a long battle with COPD.  Donna was surrounded by the family and friends that meant the most to her in her final days.

Donna was born on July 22, 1952, to George and Doris (Sprouse) Davis in Clarksburg, WV.  In 1975, Donna married Raymond Cunningham in Cleveland, OH, where they raised their three children, Raymond, Michael, and Stephanie.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mark Davis, and her husband, Raymond Cunningham.  Donna is survived by her children, Raymond, Michael, and Stephanie; grandchildren, Margaret, Caitlyn, Calleigh, Bailey, Ray, Collin, and Brendan; and great granddaughter, Anastasia.  She is also survived by her brother, George Davis, her twin sister, Paula Davis, and sisters, Beverly Cox and Sandy Fittipaldi, as well as aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Donna was employed as a healthcare worker for nearly 40 years and was a compassionate and empathetic caregiver to countless elderly and terminally ill patients. She had a green thumb and loved to read, crochet, cook, and bake.  Her greatest love was her family who she devoted her life to and who were her pride and joy, especially her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Nana.”

The family would like to thank the ProMedica Hospice team and ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Barberton) for their compassionate care during Donna’s short stay.
