Dreama Tope, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and quiet strength that will live on in all who knew her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Dreama was a kind spirit who had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for. Whether it was through her comforting and gentle words, a comforting hug, her home-cooked meals, or her endless willingness to lend a helping hand, she made the world around her softer and brighter. She found joy in life’s simple moments — a cup of coffee, a shared laugh, time spent with family, watching the birds, and the beauty of a peaceful day. She was the kind of person who noticed when someone needed a lift, and she had a talent for bringing peace into even the hardest days. Her greatest joy was her family. Dreama was the steady heart of her home — a source of unconditional love, wise advice, and quiet courage. Her patience, humor, and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Though recently separated from her husband of 41 years, Dennis Tope, Dreama’s dedication to family and her gentle nature remained a steady light for everyone who knew her. She was a devoted mother to Dennis Tope and TaraRay Bennett (Tope), and she found her home with TaraRay and her husband, Andrew Bennett, where their days were filled with laughter, warmth, and family. Every day, Dreama found happiness in being surrounded by her grandchildren — Lincoln, Wesley, and Neela Bennett — who brought endless joy, energy, and love to her life. She cherished each of them deeply and found so much pride in watching them grow. Dreama’s love also extended to her sisters — Tina Billman, Judymae Collins, and April Kintz. She often talked of her cherished memories of time spent with her other grandchildren and to her treasured nieces and nephews, who will always remember her as a person who listened, cared, and loved with her whole heart.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gilbert and Hazel McVicker, her mother Wilda Price, and her brother John Price.

Dreama will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will cherish her legacy and honor her by living with the same love, grace, and generosity she gave so freely. They will forever hold close the memory of her caring heart, her warm smile and soft winks, and her unwavering affection. Her life was a quiet example of love in action — the kind that doesn’t need recognition, only the satisfaction of knowing she made someone’s day a little better. They will find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
