Ebony Corrine Smith, a radiant, loving, and deeply cherished woman, passed away on August 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by grace, compassion, and a beauty that touched everyone who knew her. Born on August 26, 1983, Ebony spent 43 years uplifting others with her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering strength.

Ebony accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Unity Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio.
Ebony worked as a dedicated Caregiver/DSP for over 13 years , she was very passionate about helping others who face daily challenges with needing help and support to get through their day.

Ebony leaves behind her two beloved children, Makhaya Majesty Smith and Ryan Ezra James Winborn, who were the heart of her world and the greatest reflection of her love. She is also survived by her four devoted sisters — Zipporah, Clara, Janelle, and Angie — who shared her laughter, her memories, and her unbreakable bond. Her loving grandmother and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles continue to carry her memory forward with deep affection.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cassandra Smith, her father, James Smith, and grandfather Rev. Emmett Lee whose love shaped the foundation of the woman she became. Ebony’s passing reunites her with them, even as her family here continues to honor her life and legacy.

To her family, Ebony was a source of comfort, joy, and unwavering support. To her friends, she was a light — steady, warm, and irreplaceable. Her absence leaves a profound ache, but her spirit remains in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the memories that will forever endure.

May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace.
