Edwin Howard Fairhurst

Edwin H. Fairhurst, 76, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Born on July 4, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harold Fairhurst and Alberta Lou (Fleming) Metzger.

He was a great father, always showing up for his children, and especially enjoyed working on hot rods throughout his life. Ed also proudly celebrated his 30th year of sobriety before his passing.

Ed is survived by his siblings, Deborah (Robert) Bryant and Stephen (Barbara) Fairhurst; four children, Edwin (Jennifer) Fairhurst II, Stacy(Jack) Fairhurst-Gansheimer, Amanda (Ron) Fairhurst, Sean Fairhurst; and nine grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at 1:00-3:00pm on September 1st, 2026 at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St. Akron, Oho 44305.
