Ethel left this world after a long and happy life.
Mom passed away quietly at home with sons Eric and James at her side. Eric's many years of loving care and dedication to Mom allowed her to fulfill her wish to remain at home.
She was spiritual and is now with her loving husband of 75 years, Richard, parents Rebecca and Lewis Totterdale and Uncle Billy and Auntie Becky.
Ethel and Richard meet at Denison University and shortly after he returned from World War Il, were married. They had an active social life and also enjoyed traveling and boating. They spent many summers power boating on Lake Erie and winters in Florida or sailing the Caribbean. But primarily, she loved being at home with family. There was nothing better than sitting on the porch, with a warm southern breeze and catching up on news. We will miss her kindness, humor and think of her often.
She is survived by her sons, James (Gail), Eric, Lewis (Sandy) and David (Mary). Grandsons Tyler, Drew, Ryan, Richard, Robert, Travis (Josie), Kyle (Heidi) and Granddaughter Johanna Bibro (Chris). She was fortunate to enjoy seven Great Grandchildren!
Kayla, Connor, McKay, Hadleigh, Sierrah, Isaac and Elin.
A grateful thank you to Laura Lea, Michelle and Connie for their compassionate care of Mom. They are outstanding.
We would also like to thank Melissa, Shaun, Jennifer and Jessica from SUMMA Hospice. Their gentle assistance and kind advice was greatly appreciated.
A Life Very Well Lived!
