Florence L. Burke

Florence Louise Burke (Kurjian) aka Grammie passed away on November 22, 2023.  Florence was born on April 5, 1940 in Tampa Florida but was a Medina County resident for the majority of her life.  She was known for her love of flowers and was always in search of a beautiful shell on the beach or the perfect coconut cream pie.  Above all, she was known for her love of the Bible and Creator, Jehovah.  Florence was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Lisa Codding, son Randy Burke, brothers Willie & Sunny Kurjian and her parents Wilfred & Martha Kurjian.  Florence had a deep love for her family and is survived by her daughter Candace Carlton (Robert), daughter-in-law Lauri Burke (Tomon), brothers Jerry & Danny Kurjian, grandchildren Amber Branan (Pete), Rachel Fuchs (Bryan), Sarah Burke, Shane Carlton (Sarah), Andrew Codding, Evan Codding, & Tanner Codding.  Also she leaves behind seven dearly loved great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Florence had a very generous heart and was always ready and willing to help someone in need.  She will be greatly missed not only by her family but also her large spiritual family of brothers and sisters.  Florence’s family would like to extend a huge thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve for their care and concern over these many difficult months.  A memorial talk will be given on December 9th @ 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 5838 S.
