George Bradley Sherman, 75, of Akron, passed away on October 26, 2026. Born on December 9, 1950, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of George Sherman and Edith Coonrandt.
George spent many years on the road as a truck driver. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and settling in to watch NASCAR or football, especially his favorite teams, the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.
With his easygoing nature and a joke always at the ready, George brought warmth and laughter to those around him. He was easy to like and a pleasure to be around, but to his family, he was much more—a loving husband, a great father, and a cherished grandfather. His humor and the memories he shared with those he loved will be dearly missed.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy; sons, Jesse and Keith (Amanda); grandsons, Anthony Sherman and Ronin; granddaughter, Nova; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sheila Bedard.
No services will be held.
