Glenn Edward Russell

Glenn Edward Russell, 65, of Diamond, Ohio, passed away on October 20, 2025, from cardiac arrest.

He was born on December 14, 1959, in Spangler, Pennsylvania, to the late James Alexander Russell and the late Helen Louise Russell.

Glenn was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent over two decades with The Press of Ohio (1988-2008), followed by 18 years operating Russell’s Deer Processing (2007-2025). In recent years, he worked with Suffield Truck Lines from 2023 to 2025 and was also instilled with the responsibility of Treasurer for the Filipino American Bible Fellowship Church.

He had a lifelong passion for woodworking, a craft that earned him multiple awards, including a 3rd place in the 1977 Industrial Arts Fair and a 4th place in the 1978 fair. At the Harmony Grange Community Fair, Glenn was honored with four 1st Place Awards, two 2nd Place Awards, and a Special Merit Award for his skill and creativity.

In his free time, Glenn enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Wayne Russell (Brian Skelly), and his sons, Steven James Russell (Taylor Rosine) and Wyatt Robert Russell. Glenn was preceded in death by his brothers,Harold Lynn Russell (1953-2013) and James Allen Russell (1947-2021) and his sisters, Sandra Kay Russell (1947-2022) and Kathleen Nan Russell (1957-2022), and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held on November 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Venture Church of the CMA, 250 Idaho Rd, Austintown, OH 44515, hosted by the Filipino American Bible Fellowship Church.

Glenn will be remembered for his craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and love for his family and friends.

A quote that Glenn lived by was, “Lord, may I make a difference in all I do, the words I say, and the actions I take. Lord, may I glorify you, that you might be pleased with me. -Unknown”

In lieu of donations, flowers may be sent to the Filipino American Bible Fellowship Church in Glenn’s honor.
