Gloria Haenftling

Gloria Haenftling, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 82. Gloria is now flying with the angels. She was born on January 20, 1943, in Iowa, Gloria lived a life marked by love, kindness, and nurturing care for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Henry Haenftling, and her cherished sons, David, Michael, and Kevin Haenftling. Gloria also mourned the loss of her grandson, Steven Haenftling, and her parents, Howard and Ann Phillips. Their memories remained alive in her heart as she continued to embrace her life and family.

Gloria is survived by her loving daughters, Sandy and Carolyn, as well as daughters Teri (Rich) Wilson and Cindy (Jimmy) Gibson, who shared close bonds and countless memories. She leaves behind her sons, Steve (Sheri) and Jeff (Carrie) Haenftling, both dedicated to carrying forward their mother’s legacy of compassion and strength. Her family found comfort in the love and lessons shared throughout their lives together.

Gloria was the proud grandmother and great-grandmother of many, a role that brought her immense joy. She celebrated each milestone and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, forming relationships that spanned generations.

As we bid farewell to Gloria, let us remember her warmth and the light she brought into our lives. She has now taken her place among the angels, flying high and forever watching over her beloved family. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her, reminding us all to embrace love and kindness in our own lives.
