In Loving Memory of Gloria Jean McHenry

Gloria Jean McHenry, age 86, went home to Heaven to be comforted by Jesus on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Gloria was a devoted sister and friend. She deeply loved her daughters and sons-in-law. The greatest joy in her life was her grandson.

Gloria was best known for her generosity and her constant thankfulness to Jesus, the King, for all of His faithfulness to her. Every stranger who met Gloria walked away knowing that they were loved and seen.

Gloria’s greatest accomplishment was teaching her daughters about Jesus—passing down to them the faith in Him that had been passed down to her by her parents and grandparents.

At her departure, Gloria was escorted into Jesus’ loving arms by those who had gone before her, including her parents, Ismel and Eva Dean Fisk, and her brother, Billy David Fisk.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Tere (Rick) Akers and Jesi Wells; son-in-love, Jim Wells; grandson, Ethan; sister, Evelyn Longfellow; brother, James Fisk; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), where a visitation will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.  Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park 2613 Sackett Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
