Harry W. James, youngest of the two children, born to Beatrice (Harry) James and William S. James in Plymouth, PA.
Harry loved the Lord and became a devout member of Cleveland Church of Christ Citadel of Hope Ministries, where he served as a deacon and wore many hats. He was strong will with a heart of gold. He was selfless, compassionate and loved by many.
Harry served in World War Two and the Korean War.
Harry worked the hotel circuit from Florida to the Poconos in PA from 1952 until 1960 at which time he began a 32-year career in the transportation industry. He managed RTA bus systems in Kutztown, Allentown, Harrisburg and Altoona PA, Great Falls, MO., Waukegan and Oak Park IL, Newport and Covington, KY, as well as Jiddah, Dhahran and Buraidah, and Saudia Arabia before working as director of yellow bus fleet for the Cleveland Board of Education.
Harry enjoyed and travelled extensively throughout the mid and far east and Africa.
His memory lives on with his god son De ’Juan L. Harris (Tessa), adopted family Carol Boykins, Quinita’ L. Walls, Arthur L. Ledger, Ariana’ L. Ledger, and Anyia Arnold.
Although Harry will be missed, the family finds immense comfort in knowing that Harry love for people will forever live on.
Visitation will take place 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St.
