A Life Well Lived

With profound grief, our family shares the news that Helen Carolyn Mason, of Norton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on July 25th, 2025. Helen was born in Aldrich, Alabama, on September 25, 1934. She moved to Akron, Ohio with her family as a teenager, where she attended Akron Public Schools and later achieved her licensed nursing certification to administer care to others in our community for over forty years.

Dedication to Family and Community

A loving and devoted mother to her children and family members, Helen's calm spirit, wit, and contagious laughter will also be keenly missed. Throughout her life, Helen's family was proud of her strength of faith, her professional accomplishments, and her investment in those around her.

Family

Helen is survived by daughters Susan E. Dorsey (Kevin), Cynthia L. Mason (Eric Bosman), and sons Kenneth C. Mason (Deborah), and David G. Mason (Donna). Helen was preceded in death by sons, Thomas G. Mason, Arnold W. Mason, and Raymond E. Mason. Helen was also a loving grandmother to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Remembrance

Helen will be honored by close family in a private service at her home in Norton, Ohio. Though words cannot express the sorrow we now feel, we take comfort in the certainty that our beloved Mother is resting with our Lord Jesus Christ.
