Helen Platt, age 73, passed away on April 22, 2026, at Camella Living in Copley, Ohio. She was born April 7, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA to Marvin and Doris Fellows. Helen grew up in Clementon, New Jersey, where she was a 1971 graduate of Overbrook High School. Helen was proud of enrolling in college later in life after getting married and starting her family. She accomplished her goal when she graduated in 1989 from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a concentration in Science Education. Helen was employed by Pittsgrove Township School District in Pittsgrove, NJ, where she worked as a middle school Science teacher for 25 years. Helen touched many lives in her profession and was awarded Teacher of the Year during her time at Pittsgrove Township Middle School. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed ceramics, art projects, reading, watching movies, and vacationing with her family during the summer at her beach house in Ocean City, NJ. She absolutely loved Christmas and her biggest joy was decorating for the holidays.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Platt. She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Zollinger and son-in-law, Richard of Medina, Ohio, her son, Eric Platt and daughter-in-law, Lauran of Freehold, NJ, and her four grandchildren, Jake Platt, Gwen Zollinger, Camryn Platt, and RJ Zollinger.
Per her final wishes, no services will be held for Helen.
