Helen Stamich

Helen Stamich, 71, of Kenmore, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

A daughter of the late Dushan and Lisa (Winkelmann) Stamich, she was born on March 29, 1954, in Akron, Ohio.

She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the banking world and was very proud of her work. Known as a dedicated and hardworking individual, she valued time spent outdoors and found joy in many things; playing cards, walking, feeding the birds, gardening and swimming during her spare time. Cats held a special place in her heart and were extremely important to her throughout her life. She will also be remembered as a very loving aunt.

Helen is survived by one sister, Vera; two brothers, Petar and John; half-sister, Ljilja Novakovich and her son Milan Novakovich of Europe; nieces, Stephanie, Heather (E.J.), Amy, and Jenny (Billy); one nephew, Brian; great niece, Linda; great nephews, Zane and Brian Jr., and neighbors Carol and Norman.

Along with her parents, she was preceded by her loving Aunt Margrit and Uncle Werner, brother-in-law John Hollis, and good friend, Maria Miller.

In accordance with Helen’s wishes, no formal services will be held and cremation has taken place. A graveside service may be held at a future date.
