Henry William Lam

Henry William Lam, 92, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2023.  He was born in Akron on September 18, 1930.  Henry was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army.  He worked at Consolidated Freightways for 25 years retiring at the age of 62.  During retirement he enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.  One of his greatest joys was serving as an elder, with his wife, at Gateway Worship Center.  Henry is preceded in death by his parents John and Nellie Lam, and son Michael Lam.  Henry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene Lam; sons Denny (Lori) Lam, Chris (Julie) Lam; daughter Denise (Dave) Quillen and step-daughter Nicole (Todd) Tessmer; grandchildren Brook, David, Allen, Paul, Nick, Brandy, Amber, Christopher, Cory, and Tyler; and eleven great grandchildren.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2023 at Gateway Worship Center (661 East Exchange Street Akron, Ohio 44306), where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
