Jack Brooke

Jack Brooke, 70, of Akron, Ohio passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 18,2026.

He lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, generosity, humor, and devotion to his family.

He was a dedicated machinist and took pride in everything he did. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding his Harley, driving his old school Mustang, and going to bingo with his family on Tuesday. Most importantly, he never missed a Barberton Magics Brooke baseball game. His grandsons emptied his wallet every game because he gave them five dollars a hit.

Those who knew him will remember him by him lecturing his granddaughter about having no boyfriends.

Jack was proceeded in death by parents Charles John Brooke and Betty Voytko and brothers Tom Mervine, Jeff Sunderland, and Dave White.

He is survived by sisters Brenda Might ,Deb Sunderland and Debra and Cathy Mervine. Brothers Dave (Chrissy) Brooke, John Mervine, and Bruce Barker. Sons Todd Brooke and Ryan Brooke (Brittany). Grandchildren Landon, Mason, Michael, Walker, Ayden, and Lillian. As well as many loved nieces and nephews.

More than anything, Jack cherished his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. His memory will live on through the many stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 27, 2026 at the Lifespring Christian Church at 1828 Marigold Ave Akron Ohio at 3pm with dinner to follow. Contributions and flower can be sent to the church.
