Janet Lee Scott

Janet Lee Scott, 72, of Akron, Ohio passed away June 12, 2024 at Home her wishes. She was born May 7th, 1952 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of (the late) Zolton and Elsie Balogh. In the late 80’s she met Thomas Duane Scott. Together they shared 25 years of companionship. She is survived by her children Janessa, Teresa, Terry (Tina), Regina, Robert Scott and Cheryl (Jennifer Scott). Brothers Steve, Bill, John Balogh. Grandchildren Ashley (Marcus Banks), Rusheena Scott, Reginald Scott Sr., Anthony Greer Jr. , Hallie (Mike Leon), Brianna Scott, Trever Scott, Joe (Athena Blakey), Victoria (Jason Groves), Destiny (Corey Rogers), D.J. (Candice Smith) , Alyssa Scott, Emily Slone, Harry Jackson. 34 great grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Services will be held Tuesday June 18th, 2024 from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Adams-Mason funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to/ Lieu of flowers Adams-Mason in care of Janet Scott. Janet Scott graduated from Manchester High School, met Terry Scott to have 5 children to later in life to meet the love of her life Tom Scott spent 25 years loving eachother and this big family. She enjoyed her garden and flowers that bloomed summer love. Often you would find our mother taking country rides to clear her mind. More than anything she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Her green thumb not only lasted in the summer, her house was always full of loving plants and them home meals, them stuffed peppers and green cabbage was famously known around her home. In her younger years she was a member of Manchester Methodist Church where she drug her grandchildren to be embraced by the Lord. Preceded in Death by her mother Elsie, her love Thomas Scott, grandson Tommy Lee, great grandson Xavier Smith.  The family will receive friends 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street).  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home  (330) 535-9186
