In Loving Memory of Jason Reed Trigg April 28, 1976 - July 22, 2025
Jason Reed Trigg, 49, of Wadsworth/Doylestown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 28, 1976, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Jason spent most of his childhood in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area, with a deep pride in his Southern roots.
Jason will be remembered for his fierce love for his family, his appreciation for good food, his passion for country music, and his connection to the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter, a dedicated fisherman, and a talented cook who found joy in sharing Sunday dinners with family.
One of the most meaningful moments in Jason’s life came earlier this year when he opened his heart to Jesus and was baptized in March—a step that brought him peace and strength in his fight against pancreatic cancer.
We read this verse often together:
“For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children.” - Romans 8:16
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles Reed Trigg and Penny Jo (Potts) Trigg, of Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Jason is survived by his loving partner, Kristi Gonzales; and his four children: two sons, Landon Reed Trigg and Liam Christian Trigg; and two stepdaughters, Leia Skye Gonzales-Banaag and Alana Eve Gonzales-Banaag; his sister, Shannon Poe, and her husband, Shane Poe, of Horn Lake, Mississippi. He will also be missed dearly by his closest friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on August 9, 2025, at Northside Christian Church, 7615 Ridge Rd., Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. A Celebration of Life dinner will follow the service.
Due to the unexpected nature of his illness and the inability to secure life insurance during his illness, those who wish to honor Jason and support his memorial costs are invited to donate at the Celebration of Life gathering.
Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
A private burial will take place on August 11, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Ohio.
