Our beautiful Jennifer Marlene Elzholz Fischer, lovingly known as “Lea”, was called home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2025, at the age of 49. Though the world feels quieter without her, heaven is surely brighter.
Jennifer was born on January 17, 1976, in Akron, Ohio, to Christine (Hochevar) and the late Edward Elzholz. From the moment she entered this world, she radiated love. Her smile lit up every room she walked into. She had a laugh that could heal pain, and a heart so big, it made space for everyone: family, friends, strangers, and every stray animal that crossed her path.
She was the devoted wife of Robert Fischer, and the proud, adoring mother of her twin daughters, Allison (Tristian) Hull and Brittany Stover, who were her whole world. Becoming a Nana brought her more joy than words can express. Her grandchildren, River, Archie, and Ember, were her heart walking outside of her body. Every moment spent with them was a treasure to her.
Jennifer was also a beloved sister to Jason (Cinthia) Elzholz, a precious granddaughter to Donna Elzholz, and a deeply loved aunt to Andrew and Zoey. Her love for her family was fierce, constant, and unconditional. If you were loved by Jennifer, you knew it, because she showed it in every way she could, every single day.
Jennifer found beauty in the little things: flowers in bloom, the perfect thrift store find, a well-made wreath crafted from her own hands. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special. Her perfectly done nails were her signature: always colorful, always proudly displayed, always uniquely “her.”
She was a beautiful blend of kindness and strength: gentle like her mother, yet unshakably wise and stubborn like her father. She had a sharp wit, a big heart, and a way of making everyone feel like they mattered.
More than anything, Jennifer was love. Pure, powerful, patient love. She loved deeply, she loved out loud, and she loved without limits. Although her absence leaves an aching hole in our lives, her love will live on in every one of us that she touched.
We invite all who knew and loved Jennifer to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E Market St, Akron, OH 44305). Visitation begins at 3:00 PM, with services to follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Rick Bowman.
Come with your stories. Come with your love. Come as you are, to honor the incredible woman we were all so lucky to know: our Jennifer, our love and our light.
