With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Joann Clark, who departed this life on August 11, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on May 27, 1947, Joann was blessed with 79 years of life filled with love, family, strength, and treasured memories.

Joann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, family member, and friend. Her presence brought warmth to those around her, and she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

Joann had a special way of making the people she loved feel cared for and welcomed. Whether through a kind word, a warm smile, a telephone conversation, or simply spending time together, she created memories that her family will carry with them for generations.

Family was an important part of Joann's life. She especially treasured the time she spent surrounded by the people she loved, and the love she poured into her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy for generations to come.

Joann was preceded in death by father, A.G. Sanders; mother, Deberah Davis; beloved husband, Earnes Clark; brother, Allen Grady Sanders; sister, Roberta Patton; son, Robert Patton; and grandson, Joseph Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory sister, Vanessa Davis; daughters, Jamey Thomas, Jacy Gardner, and Jackie Gardner; sons, Jason (Monica) Lewis and Jeffery Gardner; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

The generations Joann leaves behind are a beautiful reflection of a life that created a lasting legacy. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her love, lessons, stories, and memories will continue to live through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Although our hearts are saddened by her passing, we are grateful for the 79 years we were blessed to have Joann in our lives. We will remember her smile, her love, the moments we shared, and all the ways she touched our lives.

You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
