John David Gardner

John David Gardner , 78 passed away on Tuesday Jan 10th 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. John was born on July 24^th 1944 in Akron Ohio and spent most of his good life living in Atwater Ohio. John Graduated from Atwater High School in 1962. Soon after he entered the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Montana from 1963-1967. John married Carol Joy Quick on Dec 29^th 1964 in Glasgow, Montana. He retired from Rubbermaid in Mogadore and enjoyed the outdoors, farming since he was a young adult. He owned his own popcorn business, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by mother Mary and Father John P Gardner. He is survived by his wife Carol of 58 years, daughters Renee (Michael) Starkey of Stow Ohio; Natalie (Terrell) of Wesley Chapel Fl; brothers Jim(Tina) Gardner of Barberton; Paul of McConnelsville Ohio; Mark (Vicki) Gardner of Cambridge Ohio. Eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Church of Christ 3897 Summit Rd Ravenna Ohio for friends and family on Sunday Jan 15^th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ASPCA or Crossroads Hospice  and Palliative Care in honor of John Gardner. The family would like to thank Crossroads for the compassion and care during this difficult time.
