Kathleen Elizabeth Miller

April 25, 1951 — January 24, 2026

Kathleen Miller was born on April 25, 1951 Leon Powell-Spearman and Cynthia Wilson in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She grew up on Heron Avenue in the hill district. She went to Madison Elementary School and went to Heron Hill High School.

Kathleen, also known as Dolly, was a stay-at-home mother. She loved the open road; windows down and Tina Turner turned all the way up. There was something about those songs- grit, joy,, survival- that matched how she lived. Wherever she was headed she went with her whole heart; singing along, fearless and free.

Dolly will be survived by sister Karen Spearman, brother James Spearman, and daughters Pamela Lynn Spearman and Chasity Carrol. As well as grandchildren Antonio Jermine Spearman Sr., Brandon Jamar Spearman, Cynthia Burnham, and Nicholas; great grandchildren Ava, Antonio II and Legacy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

If Tears Could Build a Stairway

If tears could build a stairway And memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye,  You were gone before I knew it, And only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness And secret tears still flow, What it meant to lose you No one will ever know.

But now I know you want me To mourn for you no more, To remember all the happy times, Life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten I pledge to you today, A hallowed place within my heart Is where you'll always stay.

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home.
