Until his final breath, our Dad was trying to make someone smile. It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Kenneth A. Stauffer I. He was a man who lived on his own terms. “ I’ve been working all week and I’m tired and don’t want to sleep, and I want to have fun. It’s time for a good time, I need a good time!” Allen Jackson truly had a way of expressing Ken’s spirit. Ken was born August 17, 1945 and passed comfortably July 6, 2025 leaving behind a life filled with memories, friendships, and always a laugh. He is survived by his sister Jo Sands, daughter Sandra Alpino Tabor (Robert), son Kenneth A. Stauffer II (Heather) and bonus children Deborah Williams and Denzil Hoff. He had seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Ken surely loved his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His Neighbor Tom McCain became such a wonderful friend over the years and was definitely loved. I know that he is somewhere laughing with his Mom, Dad, Uncle Bob, Aunt Norma, Uncle Jack, Uncle John, and so many lost loved ones right now.
Ken spent his career driving one of those big trucks all across our beautiful country with 1, 2, and sometimes even 3 trailers. Through his career he drove for Polysar, North American Van Lines, Penske and Fed Ex. He was happiest sharing stories, jokes, and simple things in life like country music and car racing. He loved his Cat Gizmo and his recent addition Sugar, his puppy. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Ken loved to keep the mood light. His jokes and laughter were always a highlight to those lucky enough to be in his inner circle. He valued friendships deeply. In keeping with his wishes, Ken will be cremated and no formal service will be held.. in lieu of flowers, raise a glass and send a toast his way or make a donation in his name to the Summit County Humane Society. He surely loved animals! Ken’s lively spirit, warmth, and laughter will be missed by all who knew him!
