Lawrence Alan Long age 71 a Resident of Barberton,Ohio

He went to his eternal home in Heaven On Friday 4/18/2025 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his father Harley McFarland and his mother Barbara Ward ( preceded in death by his Stepfather Jim Long)

Lawrence, was born on 5/8/1953 in Toledo , Ohio to Harley and Barbara McFarland

Lawrence, is survived by his siblings
Daniel Long,of FL(Marissa Long )
Jim Long, of FL(Linda Long,niece Carolann Richardson)
Sister Claudia Krumsee(Ken Krumsee ).

Lawrence, was preceded in death by his ex wife Ann Long, they had four daughters,
Daughter Edna Dragon(grandson J.P.Dragon( great grandson J.P. Jr., granddaughter Tabatha Vanpolen (great grand daughter Lilee Vanpolen,great grandson Logan Vanpolen, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Jennifer Dragon,( surviving great grand children Amelia,Liam Keagan,Declan)

Daughter Valerie Lemon(Son in Law Daniel Lemon)

He is preceded in death by his Daughter Sonja Long,(surviving granddaughter Raven).

Daughter Beverley Long (grandson Brandon Russell,granddaughter Brianna Russell).

Lawrence joined the Navy in 1970 he served for two years and was in the reserves for four years.
He received a National Defense Service Medal. While serving overseas he met Ann and they were married for 20 years.
He liked playing chess, enjoyed playing war games,and watching WWII history on the history channel. He had a funny sense of humor. His close long time friends of 46 years Ken Thomas and Kevin Thomas called him “Tapes”. He will be greatly missed by his family and close friends.
