Lillian Yvonne (“Doll”) Keim, age 90, of Springfield Township, OH, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026. Lillian was born in Akron, OH, to the late Thomas and Beatrice McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Keim; step-daughter, Sharon Dancik; sisters, Helen Gallion and Wilda Phillips; brothers Billy, Harley and James McKenzie; and sons-in-law, Jan Freshley and Bill Kuhn.
Lillian was a graduate of Springfield High School and retired after a long career with GoJo Industries. Beyond her career, she cherished the memories and friendships she made during her time with the Akron Majorettes & Drum Corp. She was an avid bird/squirrel watcher, a plant whisperer with an uncanny ability for nurturing greenery, a skilled sudoku player and an insatiable reader. Lillian also had a love of travel, especially trips to the beach, and any road trip with her was sure to be an adventure. At home, Lillian’s house was the heart of the family—a gathering place for meals, holiday celebrations (with Halloween as her favorite) and countless family get togethers.
She is survived by her loving children, Richard (Chris) Austin, Debra (Chuck) Hayes, Cheryl (Bruce) Austin, Tammie Freshley, Kathy Kuhn, Dianne Denham, Christopher Austin and Barry Keim; grandchildren, Allison (Jake) Ketterman, Daniel Denham, Ben (Jenny) Austin, Jenny (Tim) Hayes, Brian (Shawna) Helems, Karla Kuhn, Dustin Denham, Melissa (Jason) Jones, Jon (Jenn) Hayes, Eric Kuhn, Doug Denham, Josh Austin, Sarah Denham, Michael (Hillary) Freshley and Matt (Rai) Freshley; special niece, Sandy Kamerer; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Although there will be no formal memorial service, we invite you to privately celebrate Lillian’s memory. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home 330-535-9186.
