Lonnie Harrison, 81, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2026. He was a devoted and loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grand- father and friend. Born on July 23, 1945 in Goodwater Alabama, he was a lifetime Akron resident. After graduating from East High School, he served in the United States Army. In which he received medals for the National Defense Services and Marksman (Rifle).
Proceeded in death by his parents, Early and Francis Odena Harrison, sister; Laura Oliver, brothers; Warren Harrison and Charles Harrison, Son;Lonnie Harrison Jr.
He is survived by his children; Rosa Harrison, Ronda Dixon, Andre Harrison (Krystal Wilkins) and Leon (Tori) Harrison, Sisters; Earlie Mae Sykes, Mary (Anthony) Singletary, Theresa Humphries, Linda Harrison and Denice Harrison, brothers; James (Crystal) Harrison and Earl (Ava) Harrison.
He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Adams & Mason Funeral Home, 791 E. Market Street, Akron, OH 44305; 330-535-9186. Memorial Service and Final Resting Place will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12:45 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, Ohio 44278
