Madeline Marie Millward

Madeline Marie Millward (Mickunas Cantrell), 70, was bron September 21, 1955 and passed away on July 10, 2026, after a short illness.  She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio.  She later graduated from North High School where she was an honor student, cheerleader, and member of the track team.  She retired from The Summit County Clerk of Courts, Title Division after 33 years of service.  Madeline enjoyed camping, country music, rock and roll, and watching her sons participate in sports.  She was the definition of organized...going as far as keeping the soups and Kool-Aid in alphabetical order and having a "junk drawer" where everything was separated and kept in corresponding baskets.  She was sometimes teased for only buying socks that could be worn inside out so the seams wouldn't touch her toes.  She was a great cook and was greatly appreciated for her pasta dishes.

Her son Rich Cantrell preceded Madeline in death, as well as her parents Joe and Lucy Mickunas and her brother Joe Mickunas.  Madeline will be deeply missed by her husband of 35 years Harry; son Rob Cantrell; step children Marie Millward and Michael Millward; grandchildren Ryan, Chelsea, Conner, Madison, Mike, Halle, and Chloe.  She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters Sue Kitzmiller, Joan Mickunas, and brothers Nick (Doris) Mickunas, Jim (Tina) Mickunas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and more friends and admirers than she could possibly know.  She will also be missed by our 150 lb puppy, "Wally" who she would sneak gummy bears to when she thought nobody was watching.  

Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), where funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  CASUAL ATTIRE PREFERRED.  Private burial to be held later.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
